Our Covid Staff Wellbeing Box Project comes to an end29 March 2021
For the last 10 weeks our team have been out and about delivering goodies to staff in over 280 wards, departments and offices. In total we have distributed over 1,500 Staff Wellbeing Boxes that have included various item such as food, drinks, hand creams, toiletries and gifts.
The initiative was relaunched in January due to the increased pressures on our hospitals from the Covid Pandemic. The Staff Wellbeing Boxes went a small way to supporting staff who couldn’t get off the wards for breaks, needed fuel to keep them going and provided a way for St George’s Hospital Charity all our local communities to share their thanks and support.

We cannot say thank you enough to all the businesses, fundraisers and local supporters who donated to this incredible project, we would not have been able to do it without you!
A huge thanks to our incredible volunteers who helped pack and distribute the boxes, big thanks to St George’s University who provided a space for us to do this and finally a huge thank you to David Hill and the Catering Team for their support with all deliveries.
The number of Covid admissions is decreasing and the vaccination programme means that there is light at the end of the tunnel however at St George’s Hospital Charity we continue to support our staff with the longer lasting impacts of the Covid Pandemic.
